This article will help you pair a brand new handset or replacement handset to your Yealink base station. If you are pairing a replacement handset, this article will walk you through the steps of unpairing an old or faulty handset.
Checking your Base Station:
Please ensure your W60/70/80/90B base station (pictured below) is plugged in. Your base station may be plugged in with a power cable and network cable, or just a network cable which is capable of providing power to the unit. Your base station should have x3 green lights on the front of the unit. Your base station will normally live somewhere near your router, or in your network cupboard if you have one.

Please note the following:
- If your base station was not plugged in, please leave the base station for 15 minutes following plugging it in for it to sync with the server and pull updates before proceeding.
- If you are replacing a broken or lost handset, you will need to Deregister the broken/lost handset first.
- You do not need to use the handset you are replacing to deregister it. Any working handset already paired to the same base station can deregister any other handset from the base. For example, if Handset 2 has been damaged or is no longer usable, you can use Handset 1 to remove Handset 2 before pairing the replacement.
If you are unable to deregister the old handset because no working handsets remain, or you are unsure which handset to remove, please contact the Purple UC Helpdesk on 020 3870 7650 or email helpdesk@purpleuc.com.
