Setting Up Windows Audio
SwyxIt! is a software application that runs on your PC, and therefore it is dependant on the sounds and audio working correctly on your PC
Most people will use a headset to make and receive phone calls, and the speakers on their PCs for everything else, including hearing the phone ring, so that is what we assume here. If you have a more specialised requirement, or these steps do not work as you expect please contact your IT administrator, or helpdesk@purpleuc.com

2. Select Hardware and Sound
3. Select Sound

Setting Up SwyxIt! Audio
SwyxIt! has a facility that helps you configure which audio devices on your PC are used with Swyx, and a wizard that helps you adjust the speaker volume and microphone sensitivity. It is useful to check these settings and run through the wizard if you are experiencing any audio issues.
1. Go to the Settings Menu in SwyxIt! and select Local Settings
2. Select the Audio Mode tab, where you will see the various audio devices connected to your PC
3. Ensure that your Headset (in this case Sennheiser BTD 800 USB) has a green tick and is set as default
4. With Headset highlighted, click on Configure
5. Ensure that the correct audio device is listed in BOTH boxes
NOTE: you may or may not need to tick Alternative Microphone
NOTE: you may get an warning message, which you can ignore
6. Press the Play button, which will play an audio message, and then adjust the volume slider so that you can hear the message at a comfortable level
7. Position your microphone as you would normally have it when wearing your headset
8. Press the Adjust button and then read out aloud the phrase on screen "“I am using the automatic volume adjustment...." You should see the level indicator rise and fall as you speak, while remaining green
9. You have now set up Swyx audio
